Case Study: Badger Prairie County Park and Dog Park

Shady protection for man’s best friend. Badger Prairie County Park provides 350 acres of natural area for Dane County residents with access to national and state trails, a playground, mountain bike trails, and two off-leash dog exercise areas with agility equipment (including a park specifically for small dogs).

Dane County officials turned to Commercial Recreation Specialists (CRS) when they were looking to enhance the dog park with a durable shade structure for the existing seating area. The area was designed to encourage bonding of dog owners and their pets at a distance from the park entrance, so dogs have space to decompress after all of the activity.  CRS custom designed and installed a Superior Kite Sail shade structure in an outdoorsy green to complement the existing landscape.

Dogs and their humans now have a shady place to cool off and rest after exercise, playing, and socializing. Before the fun starts all over again!
