Jumping Pillow Gets Kids Moving at YMCA Camp Crosley

North Webster, IN – Commercial Recreation Specialists (CRS) recently added a Jumping Pillow to Camp Crosley, a YMCA camp in North Webster, Indiana, according to Ron Romens, president of Commercial Recreation Specialists.  “This Jumping Pillow is a low-maintenance, permanent installation that takes approximately fifteen minutes to inflate and creates a safe play area for a variety of age groups and abilities without the hazards normally associated with trampolines, jumping castles and some other traditional playground equipment,” said Romens.

“YMCA Camp Crosley has used the Jumping Pillow extensively with children twelve and under.  The 47’x33’ size and bright colors of the Jumping Pillow draw attention, gets them excited about the activity and keeps them engaged.  It also levels the playing field so kids are able to confidently participate in games and activities, even if they are not as coordinated or athletic as their peers,” said YMCA Camp Crosley director Richard Armstrong.  He continued, “YMCA Camp Crosley received grant funding for the Jumping Pillow because it adds a valuable fitness opportunity for kids who might not engage in sports or other recreational activities.  It has also been part of our programming for Activate America and In Shape Indiana.”  CRS is the exclusive camp distributor for the Jumping Pillow, a relatively new product in the United States, although they have been very popular in Australia and Europe for some time, according to Romens.
