Arrowhead Adventure Golf to Open for First Full Season in 2008

Pardeeville, WI – Commercial Recreation Specialists (CRS) completed installation of Arrowhead Adventure Golf, an 18-hole, adventure-style miniature golf course, at Indian Trails Campground in Pardeeville, Wis., in June 2007, according to Ron Romens, president of Commercial Recreation Specialists.  CRS provided site assessment, design and installation services, utilizing their specialized miniature golf installation team.  “Highlights of this course include refreshing water features, a stream and waterfall; use of native plants and local stone; a design incorporating local topography and natural shade from large existing trees; and careful site selection so night play would not disturb campground guests,” said Romens.  He continued, “CRS planned the course with a walking path through it for ease of access for campers and guests, as well as ADA-accessibility, creating the opportunity for families of children with disabilities or older adults to participate.”

“Indian Trails’ low-maintenance adventure-style golf course was designed to appeal not only to campers, but to encourage tourist and local customers, incorporating events like our Memorial Day Mini-Golf Tournament,” said Indian Trails Campground manager Dave Schneider. He added, “We are on target to reach initial revenue projections and, as a result of increased golf course use, have seen an increase in ancillary revenue in the snack bar and camp store.”  According to Romens, “With over 300 campsites, Indian Trails needs to provide a wide variety of recreational opportunities for their guests.  As part of our initial site assessment, CRS installed a children’s activity area with swing set, and has recommended future recreation enhancements including additional waterfront features, a skatepark and Splashpad.”
