Service – Warehouse & Repair Associate (Wisconsin)

Job Title:             Warehouse & Repair Associate  

Reports to:         Production Manager

Primary Focus:  The Warehouse & Repair Associate’s primary functions include executing warehouse operations, repair work on commercial inflatable products, and administrative duties in the sales, marketing, and service departments. The position will be responsible for managing inventory, handling shipments, and ensuring the functionality of products through repair and maintenance tasks. You will work closely with warehouse staff, repair technicians, and other relevant personnel to maintain efficient operations and provide excellent service to customers.

Key Responsibilities:     

Warehouse Duties:

  • Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and complies with safety regulations.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery as needed.

Repair and Maintenance:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment and tools as per the company’s standards.
  • Perform regular maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Record all maintenance and repair activities accurately.
  • Order and maintain inventory of spare parts and repair materials.
  • Develop and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment repair and maintenance.

Customer Service:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers.
  • Offer guidance and training to customers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Upon customer acceptance of repair and freight quote, coordinate the pickup for products.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.

Other:

  • Stay updated with the latest technological advancements in equipment and tools.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and customer interactions.
  • Special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor and/or other department leads.

Qualifications:

Preferred Education, Background & Skills:

  • At least 18 years old & have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be interested in and good with hands-on/physical work.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Prior experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or repair/maintenance roles preferred.

Physical/Environmental Requirements: 

  • Physical Activities: Able to meet the physical requirements of warehouse work including ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. (individual limit) and 100 lbs. (team lifts).
  • Level of Visual Acuity: Viewing of computer and device screens as required to perform warehouse work.
  • Environmental Conditions: Inside office locations and sites; trips to project sites.

Travel Needs:

  • This position may require occasional travel to vendors, customers, tradeshows, and jobs sites.

FSLA Exempt/Non-exempt Classification:

  • Non-Exempt Classification:
    • This position is classified as Non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and subject to the requirement for payment for any hours worked above 40 in a week (overtime) at one and a half times the hourly rate in effect for this position. All overtime hours must be arranged and approved in advance by the supervisor.
