Job Title: Service Technician
Reports to: Regional Construction and Service Manager
Primary Focus: Primary responsibilities include assisting the company in meeting its installation and service commitments for park and recreation equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of installation and service practices, guidelines, standards, conventions, and customs for all equipment being installed and/or maintained.
- Complete all duties with the highest regard for personnel, team members and others.
- Perform and execute all assigned work with consideration of related cost and time parameters.
- Exhibit personal conduct that is professional and reflects well on yourself and CRS.
- Ability to travel and complete work independently or as a member of an installation team.
- Additional responsibilities as needed and assigned.
Preferred Education, Background & Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Engineering degree, trade school, or equivalent experience in field.
- Experience in basic construction principles related to products being installed.
- Installing, leveling, securing products in an ordered fashion
- Using and understanding a multi-meter for both DC and AC powered applications
- Understand basic electrical principles – 110v
- Understand basic plumbing principles- schedules, drainage pitch.
- Ability to work on ladders, bucket trucks, and roofs when necessary.
- Basic skills in use of productivity software (email, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.).
- Must hold a valid Driver’s License, favorable driving history, and dependable transportation to and from work sites.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
Desired Qualities:
- Ability to work independently and prioritize assigned tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
- Ability to complete all commitments in a timely manner.
- Ability to review and understand site plans, engineer’s drawings, blueprints, maps, and diagrams.
- A positive attitude with desire to continually learn.
- Certified Pool Operator and/or Certified Playground Safety Inspector a plus.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Physical Activities: Able to meet all physical requirements of field construction and routine office work; Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs (individual), 100 lbs (team lifts)
Level of Visual Acuity: Viewing of computer screens for prolonged periods during office work.
Environmental Conditions: Primarily working outdoors during service and installations, in addition to some office work; Trips to project sites and trade shows.
Travel Needs:
- This position will require in-state travel to various jobs and customer work sites, particularly during the construction & installation season.

- This position is classified as Non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and subject to the requirement for payment for any hours worked above 40 in a week (overtime) at one and a half times the hourly rate in effect for this position. All overtime hours must be arranged and approved in advance by the supervisor.
