Creating a safe environment is always top priority. With safety concerns and incident rates on the rise at 10 of their 13 camps, the Salvation Army of the USA Eastern Territory knew there needed to be a change with existing playground equipment. For the previous five years the individual camps were seeing increased rates of injury incidents and inspection citations, but they lacked funding for updating their playground equipment.
The Salvation Army of the USA Eastern Territory knew the potential risks of old equipment greatly outweighed the costs of updating, so they decided to move forward with updates for all 10 of the camps in question in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maine, New Jersey, and Puerto Rico. Partnering with CRS to design and install unique designs for each camp, they reached their safety goals and provided a better camp experience.
CRS Outdoor Playgrounds were installed at the following Salvation Army locations:
Camp Swoneky, Oregonia, OH; Greenwood Lake Camp, Delaware, OH; Camp Neosa, Carrollton, OH; Camp Ladore, Waymart PA; Camp Allegheny, Ellwood City, PA; Star Lake Camp, Bloomingdale, NJ; Long Point Camp, Penn Yan, NJ; Camp Wonderland, Sharon, MA; Ponce Corps Center, Ponce, PR.
