The City of Champlin wanted to improve their 44-acre community park that had been outgrown by the growing community and create a better space for community events and activities. City officials devolved a five-year master plan that included the addition of ADA restroom facilities, picnic shelters, concessions and a Splashpad in the heart of the park. They looked to Commercial Recreation Specialists (CRS) to create an engaging Splashpad where residents could come together, cool down and enjoy more of this community hub.
CRS worked with city officials to design a space that would appeal to the whole family. Through the incorporation of a unique schooner ship, Cascades water table and a variety of play elements and ground sprays, they were able to create a fresh experience with water flows, mists, jets and sprinkling effects to bring a totally new aquatic play experience to the heart of Clyde Andrews Park.
This addition to the park now provides the community a better space where all ages and abilities can come together to experience the joy of water play while engaging with one another.
