Case Study: Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center

America’s Dairyland. For years, Wisconsin has been a leader in farming and the nation’s agriculture industry. In modern times, however, most of the population is now three to four generations removed from farming. Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center aims to bridge this gap by educating the public on farming and agriculture through an all-encompassing, state-of-the-art museum destination.

The $13 million facility allows visitors to simulate driving a combine during harvest season, lift faux blocks of cheese, learn how yogurt is made, witness a bovine birth and much more. This immersive experience gives visitors a glimpse into the day-to-day operations of a farm and learn how food goes from farm to table.

As part of the project, Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center associates worked with Commercial Recreation Specialists (CRS) to incorporate a state-of-the-art Playcraft Systems Custom 5-Round farm-themed playground structure at the museum. The themed design adds unique play value to the facility by creating a one-of-a-kind play experience that nurtures a child’s imagination. The playground also adds a family element to the facility by rounding out its activity offerings.
