Beautiful lake views. Commercial Recreation Specialists (CRS) worked extensively with the engineers at Bonestroo and Vortex Aquatic Structures on the Splashpad for Eastman Park in the City of St. Cloud, Minnesota. To meet the design criteria and provide the desired play value, the Splashpad incorporates over 50 spray features and is controlled by a 22-valve manifold command center using two digital controllers to playfully sequence the spray events. An added benefit of this design is that the city chose to drain water into an existing lake to help maintain summer lake levels.
“The design incorporated Eastman Park’s waterfront setting and allowed Little Lake George to remain a focal point in the park by using stainless steel Silverflow features with unique see-through polymers to create an organic look that blends into the landscape,” said Bonestroo designer Stuart Krahn.
