With a family-friendly endeavor in mind, MetroLagoons sought to provide local residents and visitors with a unique, safe, and fun recreation option. They hoped to appeal to all age groups and abilities while staying operationally sound and fiscally stable.

Additionally, the Design Studio by CRS, Recreation Specialist, Mike Lambe stepped in to help find proven solutions to enrich the Wesley Chappel community.

This destination began construction in 2017 with a lined lagoon and MetroLagoons partnered with CRS to create a vibrant aquatic environment. With an Aqua Park, towering inflatable slide, paddle sports, beach furniture, cabanas, pavilions, concessions and more, this site quickly became a world-class oasis.

Due to the modularity of the Aqua Park, Epperson can easily exchange out inflatable components or rearrange its course route. This draws in new guests and also creates a fresh experience for its local residents, encouraging repeat visits. Additionally, the obstacle course does not require running water nor continual air, which saves on operating costs and helps yield a faster ROI.

The presence of dozens of beach site furnishings and cabanas give those who enjoy a more leisurely form of recreation a spot to take a respite. With little permanent infrastructure, these amenities are also capable of expansion as time goes on and demand rises.

An a–la-carte style of lagoon offerings creates additional revenue streams and allows guests to select the type of experience they desire.

Since MetroLagoons unveiled Epperson Lagoon, the innovative company has expanded its coverage and implemented two other lagoon environments in Florida with three more on the way. The success and infamy of the Aqua Parks has made it a staple attraction for each location, bringing in families and multi-generational demographics.
