Case Study: Broward College | Tigertail Lake Recreational Center

Using aquatics-based recreation, this rec center focuses on experiential learning and team building while priding itself on being the best kept secret in sunny southeast Florida. Located in Dania Beach just outside Fort Lauderdale, windsurfing, kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) and a ropes course facility highlight the many recreational offerings of Tigertail Lake Recreational Center at Broward College.

College officials were looking to expand their waterfront offerings to increase their footprint within the community. They wanted a feature that would appeal to a wide variety of people while also generating revenue. They turned to Commercial Recreation Specialists to help design and install an Aquaglide Aquapark that would challenge and engage individuals, while ramping up the fun factor.
