Case Study: YMCA of the Rockies - Commercial Recreation Specialists

When it comes to miniature golf, under par isn’t always a good thing. The existing miniature golf courses at the conference centers of the YMCA of the Rockies just weren’t up to par. After seeing a decline in course usages at both their Estes Park Center and Snow Mountain Ranch, program directors recognized it was time to upgrade and modernize the courses.

Commercial Recreation Specialists (CRS) worked with YMCA of the Rockies to design and construct three unique adventure-style miniature golf courses between two locations. The courses were to be more engaging for the guests and campers that frequent the conference centers while helping to beautify the area where the previous courses had occupied. A Renewed Interest in Mini-Golf

The Snow Mountain Ranch course features 27 holes with varying degrees of difficulty aimed to entertain the whole family. While the Estes Park Center also offers 27 holes of miniature golf, there are two separate courses. An 18-hole course for the entire family along with a separate 9-hole course specifically designed for kids 5 and under with larger holes and exciting layouts to keep them focused on the course while building confidence.

The course updates revitalized the interest in miniature golf at both locations. The activity is now viewed as fun and challenging, and is seeing more use than ever before. It’s an amenity the whole family can enjoy once again while spending time together outdoors.
