Project Sales Representative

Commercial Recreation Specialist (CRS) is adding an Outside Sales Representative to our team. CRS specializes in recreation products and services designed specifically for commercial clients.  This representative will work to develop long-term relationships with clients in the municipal, public and private sector focusing on larger projects.  This position will cover southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois based out of Verona, WI.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sales and business development of commercial recreation products including: splashpads, playgrounds, shelter and safety products
  • Build and maintain relationships with landscape architects, municipal leaders, camp and business owners
  • Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability
  • Continually grow the market base with the acquisition of new customers and expanding the product offering with existing customers
  • Create detailed proposals and deliver presentations to diverse audiences including public meetings for community review
  • Maintain involvement with client throughout design, blueprinting, construction and installation of recreational equipment
  • Attend trade shows, company meetings and trainings

Required Education, Background & Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years sales experience managing an outside territory
  • 4 year degree in sales, recreation, or landscape design
  • Experience selling to public, private and municipal sectors
  • Proven ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, and requests for proposals
  • Ability to use MS Office, create PowerPoint presentations, and work with CRM software
  • Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective interactions with individuals at all levels and backgrounds
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Demonstrated follow-through
  • Effective communicator with the capacity to collaborate with others and be a team player
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative and maintain confidentiality in a fast paced and challenging work environment

Physical/Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to drive and travel
  • Occasional lifting or moving inventory weighing 25 lbs. or more
  • Both office and work-site environments
